COLFAX — Hazel "Peg" Wickett, 79, of Colfax, died Sunday, March 5, 2006, at her daughter's home in Exline.

A funeral service will be Saturday at Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at McKeever Cemetery, north of Colfax.

Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 2 to 8 p.m., with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Hazel "Peg" Wickett Memorial Fund.

The daughter of Simon and Sarah (Teed) Sager, she was born Aug. 14, 1926, in Mingo. She graduated from Colfax High School and then attended Des Moines Area Community College for two years. On Oct. 6, 1954, she married Kermit Wickett. She worked for Maytag and also was part of the Pocahantas Lodge. She was a member of the Howard Street Christian Church in Colfax.

Survivors include her husband; her children, Robert Jones of Mitchellville, Rick (Shellie) Jones of Newton, Terry Wickett of Valeria, Pam Smith of Colfax, Tom (Tammy) Wickett Sr. of Colfax and Vicki (Rick) Butler of Exline; 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Violet (Bob) Gulling of Colfax.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters and two brothers.
