BAXTER — Tracy Lyn Murphy, 31, of Baxter died Thursday, March 9, 2006, at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines.

A funeral service will be held Monday at 1:30 p.m. at the Evangelical Free Church in Baxter with burial to follow in Restland Cemetery.

Friends may call from noon to 3 p.m. Sunday at the Boyd-Davis Funeral Home in Baxter, where the family will be present to greet friends from 1 to 3 p.m. A memorial fund has been established in her name.

The daughter of Hal Guy and Linda Lee Townsend Murphy, she was born Oct. 19, 1974, in Newton. She was raised and educated in Baxter and graduated from Baxter High School in 1991.

She is survived by her mother, Linda Murphy of Baxter; children, Jaydan and Michayle; a brother, Rob Murphy of Baxter; maternal grandmother, Phyllis Thompson of Newton; and several aunts and uncles.

She was preceded in death by her father, maternal grandfather and paternal grandparents.
