Linda K. Foster Morton, 49, of Newton died Wednesday, March 29, 2006, at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.

A funeral service will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at First United Methodist Church in Newton with the Rev. Gary Marzolf officiating. Burial will be at Newton Union Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton, where the family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to the American Cancer Society or to Jasper County Animal Rescue League and Humane Society. Memorials may be left at the church the morning of the service or at the funeral home.

The daughter of Richard E. and Arline M. Kono Foster, she was born March 19, 1957, in Newton. She graduated from Newton Senior High School in 1975. She worked in the production department for Maytag Dairy for more than six years. Prior to that, she worked for HyVee West for 13 years and was manager of the Video Department at that time.

She was a member of First United Methodist Church and enjoyed her dogs, figure eight car stock car racing and NASCAR.

Survivors include her fiancée and his sons, Mike Hesse and Jace and Miah Hesse; a son, Jeff Lint of Newton; a daughter, Jessica Cannon of St. Joseph, Mo.; two granddaughters; her mother of Newton; a brother, Rich (Judy) Foster of Little Egg Harbor, N. J.; two nieces; and two nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father, her maternal and paternal grandparents, three aunts and an uncle.
