Larry L. Lust, 70, of rural Newton died Wednesday, March 22, 2006, in Hospice of Jasper County Monarch Wing at Skiff Medical Center in Newton.
A funeral service was held today at Wallace Family Funeral Home in Newton with the Rev. David Raymond officiating. Burial was at Newton Memorial Park Cemetery.
Memorials to FFA or Parkinson's Disease Association may be left at the funeral home.
The son of Maynard L. and Mildred M. Balmer Lust, he was born July 5, 1935, in Newton. He graduated from Newton Senior High School in 1953. He was a farmer and owner of L & R Farm Supply. He was a former member of FFA, Newton Elks Club, First Christian Church and Wittemberg Grange. He enjoyed working and water skiing. He was a lifelong resident of rural Newton.
Survivors include a son, Randy (Alisha) Lust of Newton; a daughter, Karna (Craig) Alexander of Russell; seven grandchildren; a sister, Linda Lust Hewitt of Newton; and former wife and mother of his children, Ruth Lust.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two children, Diana Lynn and Kristen Kay Lust in infancy.
