COLFAX — Nevinka "Nicky" Castings, 89, formerly of Colfax, died March 5, 2006, at the Life Care of Gwinnett in Lawrenceville, Ga., after an extended illness.

A funeral service will be Friday at 1 p.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax with Rev. Theresa Mastrogiovanni officiating. Burial will be at Colfax Cemetery.

Visitation will be Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax on Thursday from 2 to 8 p.m. with the family in attendance from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church in Colfax.

The daughter of Mike and Anna Nikolish, she was born Sept. 11, 1916, in Almitz. She attended school in Williamson. On Oct. 22, 1939, she married Clifford Castings in Princeton, Mo. She was a homemaker and a member of the First United Methodist Church of Colfax. She lived in her home for 55 years. She had been residing with her daughter and son-in-law for two years prior to her death.

Survivors include a daughter, Donna (Kent) Gray of Lawrenceville, Ga.; three grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; a sister, Rose (Bob) Clark of Colfax; brother, Slavia (Jackie) of Brooklyn; two sisters-in-law, Norma Nikolish of Des Moines and June Nikolish of Colfax; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband and two brothers, Rudolph and Charles Nikolish.
