PRAIRIE CITY — Clara M. Beyer, 92, formerly of Prairie City, died Sunday, March 12, 2006, at Pella Regional Health Center — Long Term Care Unit in Pella.
A funeral service will be Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Prairie City Christian Reformed Church with burial at Waveland Cemetery.

Visitation will be today from 2 to 8 p.m. at Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Memorials may be given to the Prairie City Christian Reformed Church.

The daughter of Andrew Douwe and Maude Mae Roberts Jensma, she was born Feb. 26, 1914, in Colfax. She graduated from Colfax High School in 1932. On Jan. 8, 1937, she married Clarence Beyer at her parent's home northeast of Prairie City. She was a member of the Christian Reformed Church, Helping Hands and was a charter member of J.O.Y. Circle.

She is survived by her children, Janice (Dan) Vander Voort of Pella, Lana (Alvin) Keuning of Monroe and Jane (Mike) Victor of Adel; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren; and a sister LeOra Van Zee of Newton.

Preceding her in death were her parents, husband and four brothers, Edward, Fred, Albert and Howard.
