COLFAX -- Jeffery Allen Stewart, 24, a longtime resident of Colfax, died Wednesday, July 5, at the Jasper County Care Facility southeast of Newton.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.

The Rev. John Mc Kinstry, pastor of the Howard Street Christian Church in Colfax, will conduct services. Burial will be in Colfax Cemetery.

Friends may call after 3 p.m. Friday at the funeral home and visitation with the family will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Survivors are his mother and step-father, Linda Stewart De Vore and Ivan De Vore of 214 ½ 1st Ave. W., Newton; two sisters, Tina Jones and Tami Cupples, both of Colfax; and his grandfather, Frank Stewart of Colfax.

Mr. Stewart was a member of the Howard Street Christian Church and an employee of Progress Industries in Newton.

He was born Nov. 19, 1964 in Iowa City.

Mr. Stewart was a 1984 graduate of Colfax Community High School.
