PRAIRIE CITY -- Mark Wayne Vande Kieft, 37, a lifelong resident of Prairie City, died Friday evening, Sept. 8 of injuries suffered in an accident near Kellogg.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Prairie City Christian Reformed Church.

The Rev. Thomas Wetselaar, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be in Waveland Cemetery in Prairie City.

Friends may call at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Prairie City after noon today. Visitation with the family will be held from 7 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Albert Vande Kieft of Prairie City; a brother, Alan of Tacoma, Wash.; and a sister, Loraine (Mrs. Jeff) Vohs of Galva.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents and an aunt.

Mr. Vande Kieft, a member of the Prairie City Christian Reformed Church and a former member of the Iowa Air National Guard, was employed by Ruan Transportation.

The son of Albert and Edith Zachary Vande Kieft, he was born Nov. 18, 1951 in Des Moines, attended Prairie City Christian Grade School and was graduated from Pella Christian High School.
