PELLA -- Jennie Van Heukelom Ver Meer, 86, of Pella, a resident of Nelson Manor in Newton from 1986 until March 1989, died Wednesday morning, May 17, at Sheltered Care Unit at Pella Community Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday at the First Christian Reformed Church in Pella.
The Rev. Dick Stravers of Cleveland, Ohio, assisted by the Rev. Richard Stravers of Richland, Mich., will conduct services. Burial will be in Black Oak Cemetery near Pella.
Friends may call at Van Dyk-Duven Funeral Home in Pella today. Visitation with the family will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions to the Pella Christian High School Auxiliary will be accepted.
Survivors are three daughters, Bertha (Mrs. John) Brouwer of Pella, Bel (Mrs. Dale) Vos of Pella and Ruth (Mrs. Dick Stravers of Cleveland, Ohio; 12 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and a sister, Carol (Mrs. Cornie) De Goey of Newton.
Mrs. Ver Meer, a homemaker, was a member of the First Christian Reformed Church of Pella, Pella Christian High School Auxiliary and Black Oak Cemetery Aide.
The daughter of Ryk and Tryntje De Wilt Van Heukelom, she was born July 8, 1902 in Pella.
She was married to Albert Tunis Ver Meer June 1, 1921.
