PELLA -- Funeral services for Allan Roger Van Steenwyk, 28, of Pella, who drowned Monday, June 19, at the beach area of North Overlook at Lake Red Rock, will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at Garden Chapel Funeral Home at Pella.
The Rev. La Verne Hill will conduct services and burial will be in Graceland Cemetery in Pella.
Memorials to Cystic Fibrosis may be left at the funeral home.
The boy of Mr. Van Steenwyk, a former resident of Reasnor, was recovered Tuesday.
Survivors are his wife, Deeanna; two sons, Aaron and Michael; a daughter, Amy; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Alfred Van Steenwyk, all of Pella; two sisters, Connie Vannoy of Hedrick and Carrie Worthington of Monroe; and a brother, Michael of Pella.
Also surviving are his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Van Steenwyk of Pella and Mrs. Lloyd Harvey of Knoxville.
He was preceded in death by a sister, Sherrie Lynn.
He was born Nov. 27, 1960 in Knoxville and grew up and was educated in Pella.
He was married to Deeanna Humes March 10, 1979 in Pella.
A trucker and construction worker, Mr. Van Steenwyk most recently had been an employee of R. E. Voss Construction in Pella.
