CARBONDALE, Ill. -- Dorothy Drown Trueblood, 65, of Carbondale, Ill., a former resident of Kellogg, died today, Aug. 9, at Memorial Hospital in Carbondale.

Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Carbondale First Presbyterian Church.

The Rev. Judy Beyler, associate pastor of the church, will conduct services and burial will be in Oakland Cemetery in Carbondale.

Memorials to the American Heart Association may be sent to the Huffman-Harker Funeral Home in Carbondale.

Survivors are a son, Dennis Lee, of Carbondale; a daughter, Zoe Ann Dankle of Clear Lake; and two grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Lee, in 1964, her parents and a brother.

Mrs. Trueblood was a member of the First Presbyterian Church, PEO, University Women’s Club, Pan-Kellenic Women’s Group, all of Carbondale; and the American Dietetic Association.

Mrs. Trueblood retired after serving for many years as a dietician at Southern Illinois University in Carbondale.

The daughter of Frederick Arthur and Zola Craven Drown, she was born Sept. 11, 1923 in Kellogg.

She was married to Dennis Lee Trueblood Sept. 7, 1952 in Kellogg.
