Gwendolyn R. Toedt, 68, of 1404 N. 9th Ave. Pl. E., died Thursday evening, Aug. 17, at the Skiff Medical Center.
Wallace-Pence Funeral Home is handling arrangements which have not been completed.

Gwendolyn R. Toedt
Funeral services for Gwendolyn Ruth Gearhart Toedt, 68, of 1404 N. 9th Ave. Pl. E., a resident of Jasper County most of her life, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 22, at the Wallace-Pence Funeral Home.
James R. Addy of Jehovah’s Witnesses will conduct services and burial will be in Bethel Cemetery east of Baxter.
Memorials may be left at the funeral home.
Mrs. Toedt died Thursday of a heart condition at Skiff Medical Center.
Survivors are two sons, Robert Hefley and Keith Hefley, both of Newton; a daughter Irene Addy of Des Moines; a step-daughter, Joan Hurley of Newton; 11 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Also surviving are two sisters, Marjorie Brown of Arizona and Beverly Van Zante of Baxter, and two brothers, Herley Gearhart of Florida and Floyd Gearhart of South Dakota.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Dan Toedt.
The daughter of Morton and Mary Warner Gearhart, she was born Jan. 31, 1921 in Faribault, Minn.
She was married to Dan Toedt Jan. 8, 1972 in Newton.
