Francis H. Ter Louw

PELLA -- Francis Haley Ter Louw, 79, of Pella, a longtime farmer in the Sandridge community on the Jasper and Marion County line, died Saturday, June 24, at Pella Community Nursing Home.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Trinity Reformed Church in Pella.

The Rev. Donald Plantinga, pastor of the church, will conduct services. Burial will be in Graceland Cemetery in Pella.

Memorial contributions to the Pella Community Nursing Home will be accepted.

Friends may call from 2 to 9 p.m. today and all day Tuesday at Pella Garden Chapel and visitation will be held from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Survivors are two sisters, Henrietta (Mrs. William) Schakel and Christine (Mrs. Carl) Hackert, both of Pella; and two brothers, Appollas Tew Louw and Paul Ter Louw, both of Pella.

He was preceded in death by his parents and four brothers.

Mr. Ter Louw was a member of the Trinity Reformed Church of Pella and a member of the Men’s Brotherhood.

Mr. Ter Louw, who had farmed for 20 years, also had worked at Ver Meer for several years prior to his retirement.

The son of Henry and Kate De Heer Ter Louw, he was born June 15, 1910, north of Pella.
