Cora Blanche Bair Wyatt
1886-1905

After a lingering illness, Mrs. Homer Wyatt died last Friday, January 13 1905, at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bair in Sherman Township.

Cora Blanche Bair was born January 25, 1886, so at the time of her death, she was within a few days of nineteen years of age. On the 19th of November, 1902, she was married to Homer Wyatt. After their marriage they went to Missouri and it was there that their child, Cecil Lono, was born, a few months ago. Blanche has not been well since. She became strong enough to come to her parents and at one time it was hoped that she would get well. She was given tender and faithful care by her loved ones, but they could not keep her with them any longer. Beside her husband and little one, she leaves to mourn her loss her father and mother three sisters and one brother, besides many friends.

The funeral was held at the Bair home, last Sunday afternoon, at one o’clock. It was very largely attended, in spite of the bitterly cold weather, very nearly three hundred persons being present. The service was in charge of Rev. R.F. Chambers, of Newton and the singing was rendered by several friends of the family. The service was impressive and given earnest attention by all. Beautiful flowers were placed on and about the lovely casket. After the service the body was taken to the Newton cemetery, where it was tenderly laid away. To the husband, and motherless little one and the others who mourn, the sincere sympathy of the entire community is extended.
