Mabel M. Sabin Wheeler, 92, of Wausau, WI, formerly of Newton died of a stroke Monday morning, Jan 11, 1988. Funeral services will be held Wednesday in Wausau. Additional services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Reese Chapel in Newton.

The Rev. Richard Bentzinger, pastor of the Newton First United Church, will conduct services. Burial will be in the Newton Union Cemetery.

Survivors are two sons, Lloyd of Wausau, and Earl of Phoenix, AZ; four grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Emma Jackson of Newton and Mary Swigart of Salt Lake City, Utah.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Robert in 1943, two sons, Charles and William and six brothers and two sisters.

The daughter of Calvin and Maggie Rocella Simons Sabin, she was born 23 July 1895 in Marengo.
She married Robert E. Wheeler 23 December 1915.
