Vinton E. Wheeler, 72, of Phoenix, AZ, a former Newton resident died 29 September 1992. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday 2 October 1992, at Grimshaw Bethany Chapel in Phoenix, AZ.
Private graveside rites will be held.

Survivors are two sons, David Earl and Joel R., both of Phoenix, AZ; four grandchildren; and a brother, Lloyd of Phoenix, AZ.

Mr. Wheeler was a construction company electrician, had been in the Navy from 1942 to 1945.
He was born 27 September 1920 in Newton,IA. The son of Robert and Mabel M. Sabin Wheeler.
He married Marjorie P. Crane on 29 September 1943 in St. Louis, MO.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his wife.
