Everett Robert Wilson Jr.

Everett Robert Wilson Jr., 80, of Colfax died Friday, July 30, at Heritage Manor in Newton.

Memorial services will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. at the Colfax Presbyterian Church in Colfax with the Rev. Marvin Potter. Burial will be at the Colfax Cemetery.

Visitation will be after noon today with family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Walters-Coburn Funeral Home in Colfax.

Born July 12, 1919 in Metz to Everett and Lola Puzey Wilson, he was a 1937 graduate of Colfax High School. The lifelong resident of Colfax, he married Margaret Carroll Dec. 5, 1943 in Colfax.

Mr. Wilson worked at Maytag for 32 years and was a member of the Colfax Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include four sons and daughters-in-law Robert and Linda of Coon Rapids, Minn., Dr. John and Pam of Dallas, Texas, Charles and Jody of Colfax and tom and Terry of Colfax; daughter and son-in-law Peggi and Mark Dehner of Byron, Ill.; nine grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, grandson and sister. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa, August 2, 1999.
