Mary Morris, Former Colfax Resident, Dies

COLFAX - Funeral services for Mrs. Harold C. (Mary) Morris of Van Nuys, Calif., 73, a former resident of Colfax, were held recently at the Forest Lawn Cemetery in Hollywood, Calif.

The Rev. John R. Spitler of LaCrescenton United Methodist Church conducted services.

Forst Lawn Mortuary ws in charge of arrangements.

She died at the Granada Hills Hospital.

Survivors are her husband, two sisters, Mrs. V. V. (Maud) Logsdon of Newton and Mrs. C. A. (Lucille) Sheets of Quitman, Tex.; and a brother, William Mulleneaux Jr. of Newton.

She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Henry of Newton and John of Ajo, Ariz.

The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. [Mary McWhirter] William Mulleneaux, she was born Jan. 14, 1905 in Colfax and was a 1924 graduate of Colfax Community High School. ~ The Newton Daily News, Newton, Iowa, July 17, 1978.
