Robert Clark, Colfax, Reported Missing in France

COLFAX - Mrs. Jennie Clark received a telegram Friday from the war department stating that her son, Robert (Bob) Clark has ben missing in France since Jan. 16.

Clark has been in the service two years with a tank unit. Son of Mrs. Clark and the late C. M. Clark, he was born and grew to manhood in Colfax where he was graduated from high school in 1935. While a student he was active in band, football and basketball. Mrs. Jennie Clark has been spending the winter with her son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Runyan, at Bondurant. Bob also has a brother, William, at Bondurant. ~ Newspaper unknown, possibly The Newton Daily News, Newton Iowa.
