Dickey surprise birthday party

Our Greencastle correspondent sends an extended report of a surprise party at the residence of Mr. A. Dickey, near Greencastle, the occasion being the 54th anniversary of the birthday of that gentleman, upon a date our correspondent failed to give. The party and dinner following were greatly enjoyed and the following gifts are among the mementoes Mr. D. retains of the occasion:
Easy chair, Rachel A., Lotta and Mary Dickey; ebony paper-box, Mrs. Sperling; pocket-book, John Sperling; silk hankerchief, L. Anderson; pair slippers, Mrs. Dickey; slipper-case, Vina Barker; goblet, Mrs. L. Woods; glass water pitcher, Mr. F. Witmer and wife; necktie, Mary Barker; tidy, Ella Foy; pair hose, Mrs. Cline; silver cup, W. Woods and wife; cuspadore, Dr. Hawk and wife; shirt and necktie, Mrs. Foy; book "Bricks Without Straw", Rev. B. F. Durfee and wife; slipper-case, Mrs. Batchelor; mottoes, etc. Mary and Lola Dickey and others.
