A marriage took place last Monday by which Muscatine lost one of her best young ladies and Jasper County won her. Simon F. Altemeier, of Mariposa Township, was the worthy man who captured her for his bride. The lady's name was Minnie Kienzie. The wedding took place at the bride's home in Muscatine. On Monday the bridal couple arrived in Newton, accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. Fred Altemeier, the two men being brothers, and the two ladies being sisters. The bride and groom will live on the farm left by Mr. and Mrs. George Kelly, and will go there about the first of March.
