Miss Edwards to be married.

For some time past the friends of Miss Ora Edwards knew that she was to marry a man living on the Pacific coast, and now the time has come, and she has left Newton and started on her long trip west. She went yesterday to Des Moines, where the mother of the groom, Mrs. G. F. Knight lives with whom she will spend several days. Then she goes on to Grand Junction Colorado where lives her sister, Mrs. C. B. Rich. There she will visit for a couple of weeks, after that she will leave for Tacoma, Washington, where her lover and future husband, Mr. Warren F. Knight, is waiting for her. They will be married March tenth, at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Mason card, of that city, the latter being the groom's aunt. After the wedding, Mr. and Mrs. Knight will go right to housekeeping in a cottage home in Sherlock, 10 miles from Tacoma, where the groom is engaged in business. He is one of the proprietors in a mill where they manufacture shingles, cedar pails, tubs, etc.

Miss Ora is one of Newton's pretty, bright, gifted girls, who has spent most of her life in our town and has many acquaintances and friends, who sincerely wish that her hopes and happy dreams for the future may be all fully realized.

The groom is a well-known Jasper County boy, having spent most of his life in Monroe. His father died last year, and he took his share of the estate and invested in the West. He's a worthy, industrious young man and showed his good taste by sending back east and into his home county for a wife.
