Golden Wedding-Our venerable friends, Mr. and Mrs. Moses Forbes, celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary, last Thursday. All their children and grandchildren, besides a few other intimate friends, were present forming a very happy assembly at their beautiful home. Mr. and Mrs. Forbes are among our very best and most highly respected people, and with one accord, all who know them heartily congratulate them on their half century mile-stone, and trust that the happiness that has attended them through the long years that have past, may continue to follow them to the end of the earthly pilgrimage. ~ The Newton Journal 9-25-1889.
