A Surprise Crystal Wedding. - The friends and neighbors of Mr. and Mrs. William Moore, of Mound Prairie Township, went in on them in a body on Tuesday evening of last week, to the number of about forty, with well filled baskets. The surprise was complete. After a season of congratulation they took possession of the house and the ladies commenced preparing one of the most sumptuous meals that we have had the pleasure of partaking of for a long time. There were oysters, chicken, pie, cake, and in fact everything that the appetite could desire. After supper was over, the tables were cleared away and everything put in order, the company gave themselves up to hilarity and fun. Some of the songs that were sung and some of the stories that were told, will cause the crowd to feel mirthful for some time to come. The incident that excited the most laughter was the comical performances of George Kees and his troup of small boys. It seemed that they never would get through laughing at them. The following is a list of a number of the presents:

Crystal water set-Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Ross.
Glass cake stand-Mr. and Mrs. D. F. McCully.
Glass fruit dish-Mr. and Mrs. J. Rorabaugh.
Cut glass bread plate, pickle dish and ink stand-Mr. and Mrs. James Sims.
Elegant parlor hanging lamp-Mr. and Mrs. William Dales.
Crystal tea set-Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Baker.
Bed-room lamp-Mr. and Mrs. Jas. Campbell.
Castor-Mr. and Mrs. G. W. Kees.
Crystal berry dish-Miss Effie Halliwill.
Two pepper boxes-Miss L. Barnes.
Crystal bread plate-Mr. Geo. Halliwill.
Set of Glass tumblers-Miss Lizzie Matchett.
Crystal honey dish-Ida Runyan.
Away along in the "wee small hours" after the company had exhausted every thing in the fun-making line, they gathered up their wraps, and, after wishing Mr. and Mrs. Moore all the prosperity and happiness that is possible, they departed for home.
