McElroy-Miller. - "Elm Grove Farm," the beautiful home of Mr. Chas. E. Failor, in Kellogg township, was the scene of a very pleasant wedding party, last Wednesday evening, February 24th, the contracting parties being Mr. Charles S. McElroy and Miss Lucy J. Miller, sister of Mrs. Failor-Rev. J. J. Mitchell tying the mystic knot, which united for life the destinies of these young people. A large number of invited guests were present to witness the nuptials, and were most hospitably entertained by the genial host and hostess. A bountiful collation was served, and we had substantial evidence of its superior quality in a bountiful supply of wedding cake sent to the Journal office with the compliments of Mrs. Failor. The bride and groom are among our most worthy and highly esteemed young people, and we earnestly trust that the joy and happiness of their honeymoon may only prove a foretaste of that which will crown their entire pathway through life. Their friends, as a token of their love, showered upon them, a large number of beautiful presents-valuable and useful.

On the Friday afternoon following the wedding, an infair reception was given the bride and groom at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh McElroy near the College Farm. A number of the friends and relatives were present and the occasion was a most pleasant and enjoyable one. ~ The Newton Journal, March 3, 1886.
