Married – The home of Mr. and Mrs. Allen Compton, in Buena Vista Township, last Wednesday evening, was full of joy and merriment, the occasion being the marriage of their daughter, Miss Dora Compton and Mr. Elmer Hammer, Rev. A. S. Loveall, pastor of the Newton circuit of the M. E. Church spoke the mystic words that united “for better or for worse, “ the destinies of these young people, after which the evening was given over to social enjoyment, which will always be a pleasant remembrance to the guests and all present. The large number of beautiful and useful presents was a flattering testimonial of the popularity of the bride and groom among the friends who have known them most intimately.
