The Kimberley and Cleverly family reunion was held at the Maxwell park Sunday, Aug. 13. Ninety attended. Thomas Swallwell, 90, was the oldest one present. Norma Jean Conkel, 7 weeks, of Polk City, was the youngest. Those from a distance were: Mr. and Mrs. Ben McDonald, Mr. and Mrs. Hilman Park and children, Mr. and Mrs. Virgil Randall and children of Des Moines; Mrs. and Mrs. Don Maxwell and son of Ft. Dodge; Mr. and Mrs. I. D. Conkel and baby of Polk City; Mr. and Mrs. Chas. Hayes and children, Mr. and Mrs. Art Adams and children of Marshalltown. Bert Cleverly was elected president and Mrs. Don Maxwell secretary. There were 7 births, 4 marriages and 4 deaths last year. They meet next year at same time and place.
