Abe Adamson was able to ride up town Monday for the first time since the 4th of January, having been laid up at home on account of his old army trouble. Yesterday was Abe's birthday - born 67 years ago in this state while it was yet a territory. His parents - the late Uncle Evan and Aunt Betsy Adamson-were nroute for a new home in what is now Adamson Grove. They stopped at a farm home near Pella where before morning little Abe was born, and the youngster was only a few day sold when they came on into Jasper county. ~ Newspaper unknown.
