Some corrections for the biography on Nobel J. Fugard in the 1912 Past & Present of Jasper County, Iowa
In doing research on Roxa Sanders Morford Lucas Zellings, I have come across the following information. I believe it ties in to John M. Border and proves he had a wife (#2, Adaline Morford) between Clara, who died ca: 1868, and Anna Carpenter Young.
1850 U.S. census, LaGrange Co. IN Clay Twp. 3rd of September we find:

^ She married Samuel Lucas in 1851. They were divorced.
^ She married James Marcus Zellings 18 June 1857 in Steuben Co. Ohio.
^ Thus, the above children should be: Adaline and Charles Morford, A.S. and Mary A.E. Lucas & Eartha Zellings.
^ It is believed that Roxa died before 1870 when her children were living with her brothers, a spouse and another family (Eartha (or Ida), who was adopted by the Skinners).1870 U.S. census, Jasper Co. IA Buena Vista Twp. 18th July page 184
