A merry party of boys and girls went to F. A. Baker's home Wednesday night, it being Mrs. Baker's birthday. They all had a fine time.

Miss Ulah Kendig closed a very successful four months and a-half term of school last week at the Henderson school house, district number four, in Sherman township.

There was an ice cream social held at Ira Wednesday night, at the Christian church. A large crowd was attendance.

We are all glad to hear that Mrs. Charley Kantz [Kintz?] is able to be up again after her severe illness.

The Will Iske family spent last Sunday at the home of Frank Couch.

A happy crowd gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Warren Riders last Thursday night, leaving some very nice presents as a remembrance.

Mr. Will Trussler and wife have gone to house keeping.

Beulah Rider visited at the home of E. H. Smith last Sunday.

Earl Pink, who has been quite sick the past month, is reported much better at this writing.

Mrs. J. H. Malicoat was a Colfax visitor last Friday.

Mrs. Frank Jones visited at the home of her parents, northeast of Mingo, last week. ~ The Newton Journal (Newton, Iowa), Wednesday, March 30, 1910.
