Mound Prairie

Mrs. Harold North and Miss Mildred North spent Thursday at the C. H. Howell home.

Miss Wilma Brock gave an Easter party at her home Friday evening. The house throughout was decorated with Easter lilies, crosses, little chickens, and green and white crepe paper. In the dining room the green and white was brought from each corner of the room to the center of the ceiling above the table, and suspended from that was a large cross with a little chicken sitting on each side; then on the table was a large wreath of evergreen the size of the table and on each end of the table was a nest of Easter eggs and some little chickens, and in the center of the table was a large vase of Easter lilies. Easter eggs were hidden in the room and the one finding the most won the first prize, which was Miss Irene DeBruyn, and the one finding the least was Miss Agnes Howell. They also had questions written on slips of paper which were passed to each one and the one getting them written first won the prize, which was Miss Bonnie Brock. A three course luncheon was served. All left at a late hour saying they had a merry time. Miss Marion Anderson of Newton was the only guest out of the neighborhood.

Mis Elsie Howell returned home Saturday for a two weeks stay at home.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Livingston, Messrs. Ira Honnold, George Lust, Earl Tool, and Miss Ora North of Monroe, and Mr. and Mrs. Charles Howell and family spent Sunday at the Frank North, Sr. home. ~ The Newton Journal (Newton, Iowa), Wednesday, March 30, 1910.
