Mrs. Fred Stines, from Newton, visited last week with her sister, Mrs. Bert Beals.

Mrs. Elma Penquite and two children from Mitchellville visited over Sunday with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Watt.

Mrs. Chris Herbold spent Thursday and Friday in Newton.

Miss Audry Beals closed a very successful term of school at Sand Hill last Friday.

Mrs. John Emmack left last Friday for Muscatine where she will visit with her mother, Mrs. Marsh.

Clara and Neva Couch visited over Sunday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Can Couch.

William and Florence Watt and Mrs. John Loyer, from Newton and Jeannete Shaw, from Canada, visited the latter part of last week with Lawson Watt and family.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Cordray have moved on Charles Watt's farm south of here.
