KINYON, Madison S.
Farmer; S. 22; P. O. Newton; born in Providence, R. I., July 15, 1815. Married Polly WARNER in New York in 1848. She was born in New York in 1825. They had four children - Frenando, Almeda, Armitta and Devella. Mrs. Kinyon died in New York in 1859. Mr. Kinyon married for his second wife, Sarah FULTS in New York. She was born in New York in 1838. They had five children - Eliza, Ella Elfaretta, Bertie, Alfred Orsemas and Vallego. Has 480 acres of land, valued at $30 per acre. Moved to New York with his father; remained until moving to Iowa in 1860. He followed the saw-milling and lumber business twenty years in New York. Mr. K. made all his improvements, set out an orchard and grove, and built his buildings; keeps some Short Horn stock and Berkshire hogs. Mr. K. has always given liberally to schools and churches; he has a good property, made by his energy.
