JONTZ, J.
Farmer and Stock Raiser; S. 8; P. O. Newton; born in Harrisburg, Penn., April 26, 1840. Married Mary SMITH in Illinois in 1860. She was born in Indiana Sept. 12, 1841. They have eight children - George Edwin, Charles Henry, Adam Leslie, Forest Alonzo, Ira Jacob, William Robert, Sarah Jane and Henrietta. Has eighty acres of land, valued at $25 per acre. Moved into Illinois when a boy, and thence to Iowa, Poweshiek Co. in 1869, thence to Jasper in 1871. Mr. J. came to this State in very limited circumstances, and now he has a good farm with grove and fruit trees set out. Mr. and Mrs. Jontz are members of the M. E.
