KORF, Henry
Farmer and Stock Raiser; S. 10; P. O. Newton; born in Germany Oct. 15, 1840. Married Minnie WESEMANN in Iowa in 1875. She was born in Illinois in 1857. They have two children - Henry and Minnie. Has 320 acres of land, valued at $30 per acre. Came to Ogle Co., Illinois in 1848, where he carried on farming extensively; moved to Iowa in 1867. He settled on his present farm in its natural state; he now has it under good improvement, with good buildings, orchards, groves, etc.; is one of teh many energetic and prosperous farmers of Malaka. ~ "Malaka Township Biographies," The History of Jasper County, Iowa, (Chicago: Western Historical Company, 1878)
