PAULSON, J. C.
Farmer; Sec. 35; P. O. Colfax; born in Harrison Co., Ohio in 1820; removed to Wapello Co., Iowa in 1849; thence to Jasper Co. in 1851. Owns 208 1/2 acres of land, valued at $65 per acre. Married Miss Mahala SPRAY in 1827.* They have seven children - John M., William M., Sarah E., James D., George L., Hellen S. and Hattie M. Mr. and Mrs. PAULSON are members of the M. E. Church Mr. P. has held the offices of School Director, President of Township Board and Constable. Note: Transcriber's note: Mahala SPRAY was born (mot married) in 1827. She and Jehu C. PAULSON (also spelled Jahu C.
