of WITMER & MARSH, dry goods and general merchandise, N.E. corner square, Greencastle; born in Guernsey Co., Ohio, Sept. 2, 1837; came to Des Moines Co., Iowa in 1865, thence to Jasper Co. in 1869. Owns one-half interest in store; residence, one-half of lot on northeast corner square. Married Mrs. Mary N. McCULLOUGH Oct. 15, 1862. She was born in Guernsey Co., Ohio, Feb. 19, 1841. Republican. Has held the office of Secretary of Township Schools for several years.
