Farmer; Sec. 26; P. O. Newton; born in Germany March 3, 1826. Married Johanna READAH in Germany. She was born in Germany in 1832. They have seven children - August, Charles, William, Henry, John, Mary and Emma. Has 160 acres of land, valued at $25 per acre. Came to Illinois in 1853; followed the mason business eighteen years, six in Germany and ten in Illinoios; came to Iowa in 1868, and improved his farm.
