SULLIVAN, Jerry; Farmer; Sec. 6; P. O. Prairie City; born in Ireland in 1836; has thirty-six acres of land, valued at $1,800. Married Orlinda C. WELLS; she was born in Ohio in 1845; they have three children-Eddie, Lola, and Effie. Mr. SULLIVAN enlisted in the 36th N. Y. I. V. I. Co. G; was in the battle of Fair Oaks, Malvern Hill, Antietam, Fredericksburg and Chancellorsville; was mustered out the day before the battle of Gettysburg; mustered out in New York at the time of the big riot, and had two or three men killed out of his regiment. ~ "The History of Jasper County" (Chicago: Western Historical Company, 1878), 647
