HAY, P. P.; Farmer; Sec. 17; P. O. Clyde; born in Somerset Co., Penn., March 1832; he moved to Iowa in 1857. Has 150 acres of land, valued at $50 per acre, with one of the finest houses in several counties, which cost $4,000; a bearing orchard, groves, etc. He has held the office of Assessor, Clerk, and Supervisor. He married Eliza Lynn in Pennsylvania, January 1857; she was born in Pennsylvania in 1833. They have six children - John O., Nora Elizabeth, Wm. Petre, Anna Eliza, Estella Etna, and baby not named.
