Thomas Cochran buried Reeseville

COCHRAN

I am looking for specific information on Thomas Cochran, who is buried out at Reeseville Cemetery. His marker notes he was in the 5th IA Cavalry/Civil War. I have found the rosters from the 5th Cav., and he is listed, but there is no info on date of birth, etc., to be had.

I suspect that this is the Thomas Cochran found in Union County in 1860 with his parents and siblings. Thomas returns to Union County after the war, marries and starts a family. The family then moves to Adams County (1880 Fed. Cen.; 1885 IA Cen.). By 1895 (IA Cen.), Thomas, sans family, is in Washington, Jackson County. He apparently died in Washington, Jackson County, before 1900.

Any additional information would be much appreciated.
