In Response To: Thomas Cochran buried Reeseville (Bob Leahy)

Did you find any information on this Thomas Cochran? He was 23 when he enlisted in 1861, and the Thomas Cochran in the 1860 census in Union Co. IA was 25 then. But, ages in census records aren't always correct.

However, I'm wondering if this Thomas Cochran is the long lost brother of my great-great grandmother. In 1860, my Cochrans were in MO before moving to Iowa by the mid-1860s. "Uncle Tom" was born in PA in about 1838. So his age is a match with the Thomas Cochran buried in Jackson Co. IA. Just don't have any other info about "Uncle Tom" after 1860 other than he was in the Civil War.
