After I posted my note I started going through a file of obituaries that I had gotten from my Dad. I found Nicholas Achen's obituary. If you would like me to email them to you send me an email at awsomelib2000@yahoo.com.

Nicolas and Lena were the parents of my grandmother Kathryn. My Dad has done some research and I made copies of all of his information.

According to the obiturary Nicolas was born in Mecher, Clerf County, Luxembourg, 19 Apr 1869. He came to this country 29 Mar 1893, going first to Hurstville. He worked for Al Hurst for 10 years. He married Magdelena Margaret (Lena) Kieffer 2 Dec 1896. When he died he left a wife, 3 daughters, Kathryn, Anna and Marie, 2 sons, Lester and Arthur, 3 sisters and 1 brother in Germany.
