Yes, I know that John P. Bonifas was living in St. Donatus in 1870 and was a blacksmith by trade. He married Maria (Mary) Homan dau of John Homan - I believe that John Homan taught him the blacksmith trade - their house still standing in St. Donatus - I have no information on John Bonifas - I don't know where he came from - perhaps Ohio - I have information all most of the children of John Bonifas and Maria (Mary) Homan - my line is Mary Bonifas who married Peter Seyler - son of Antone Seyler of St. Donatus - or Tete de Mortes - Peter Seyler lived in Roseland, and Assumption, Nebraska - Adams County - these families intermarried with Seyler, Arensdorf, Engel, Streff, Stull, Kalmes - the Arensdorff (Dominic & Margareta Stull Arensdorf) are buried at St. Donatus - will share any information that I have on the John Bonifas & Maria Homan family forward from 1872 - but cannot find where John Bonifas born, when he immigrated, etc.
