David Jenkins of Farmers Creek

I am seeking more information about the life and members of the David JENKINS family.

By March 1858, the family lived in Jackson County, Iowa, but by August 1862 they had returned to Ohio.

David JENKINS was born about 1832 in Ohio. He married Elizabeth UNKNOWN about 1854. Elizabeth was born about 1835 in Ohio.

In the August 1860 census, the couple lived in Farmers Creek Township, Jackson County, Iowa. Listed with David and Elizabeth are:
- Viola N., age 5 (1855) born in Ohio
- Julia J., age 3 (1857) born in Iowa
- Mary E., age 1/12 (1860) born in Iowa
Also listed in the household is another David Jenkins, age 13 (1847) born in Ohio. Due to the ages of David and Elizabeth it is not probably he is their child. At the time of birth David would have been age 15 and Elizabeth age 11.
