Hi Lynn, Names, ages, & nativities, when known, are essential in any census request. Married in Pa. does not mean born in Pa. It looks like the family of George & Hannah Kelchner were already in Jackson co. in 1895 in Maquoketa twp., indexed on Ancestry as MAFUOKETA. Same place in 1900 indicates they had been married 26 years. Dick
