MRS. H. SCHOCKER DIES WEDNESDAY; SERVICES FRIDAY
Mrs. Henry Schocker, 74, died Wednesday at Jackson County Public Hospital. Services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. in the Carson funeral home. The Rev. Milton Nothdurft will officiate and burial will be in Mt. Hope cemetery.
The former Mary Eilzabeth Branscomb, daughter of William and Melissa Meyer Branscomb, was born in Jackson county Aug. 4, 1879. She was married to Henry Schocker who preceded her in death. She was an active member of the Rebekah lodge.
Surviving are one son, Earl Niblock, of Maquoketa, two grandchildren; two brothers, Sam Branscomb of Maquoketa and William of Trinidad, Calif.; and two sisters, Mrs. Anna Roberts and Mrs. Jennie Hicks, both of Maquoketa.
Two brothers and one sister preceded her in death.
