Mrs. Fannie Kiester Services Thursday

Emeline, Dec. 3 -- Funeral services for Mrs. Fannie Kiester, 88, who died Tuesday in her home here, were held Thursday morning at 10 o'clock in the Carson funeral home, Maquoketa. Rev. George Tjaden, pastor of the Emeline Presbyterian church, officiated. Burial was made in the Hickory Grove cemetery.

As Fannie, she was born Dec. 31, 1864, in Emeline, a daughter of the late John Q. and Elizabeth Houston Jacobs. Her husband, William, whom she married Nov. 7, 1886, died in 1928.

She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Earl Edwards of Anamosa; two sons, Hugh Kiester of Maquoketa and Art Kiester of Baldwin; two sisters, Mrs. Gus Ralston of Baldwin and Mrs. Peaslee Streets of Maquoketa; and nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
