William H. Keister Answers Summons

William K. Keister, a life long resident of Jackson county, died at his home in Canton, Wednesday, November 28, death following an illness of several months duration.

The deceased was born at Ozark, Iowa, January 21, 1863, where he grew to manhood. He was married to Fannie Jacobs and this union was blessed with three children: Hugh of Canton, Art of Scotch Grove, and Irma of Wyoming, Iowa, all of whom with the sorrowing widow, survive. He is also survived by one sister, Mrs. W. A. Houston of Maquoketa, and seven grand children.

Mr. Keister was a blacksmith by trade and could always be found at his place of business until his health failed about a year ago. During the months of intense suffering which followed, he was very patient and appreciative of the kindness of those who cared for him, but despite all that loving hands and medical skill could do, the disease gradually grew worse until death relieved his suffering, Nov. 28,

He was a kind devoted husband and father, honest and upright in all his dealings, and will be greatly missed by his loved ones.

Funeral services were held Sunday afternoon at the late home in Canton, Rev. A. W. Sinden officiating. Burial was made in Hickory Grove.
