VICKY MILLER

LOST NATION — Vicky Lee Miller, 44, of Lost Nation, died Sunday at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in Iowa City.

There will be a celebration of her life at 10:30 a.m. Friday at the Carson and Son Funeral and Cremation Services, Maquoketa, with the Rev. Ruth Ann Scott officiating. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Pence Cemetery, rural Baldwin.

She was born June 22, 1961, in Maquoketa to Amos and Patricia Stutting Kallenberger.

She moved to Pennsylvania at age 8. She attended Cumberland Valley High School, Mechanicsburg, Pa. She also received welder’s training in Pennsylvania.

She was a certified welder with Ford-New Holland and with Good Hearts, both in New Holland, Pa. She returned to Iowa in 2004. She then began working in the housekeeping department at the Maquoketa Care Center.

Survivors include her children, Becky Flagle of Lost Nation, Ashley Stone of Pittsburgh, Patricia Eckenrode of Lost Nation and Sydney Miller of Lancaster, Pa.; mother, Patricia Sharbaugh of McVeytown, Pa.; father and stepmother, Amos and Carol Kallenberger of Duncannon, Pa.; grandmother, Florence Stutting of Camp Hill, Pa.; one grandchild; sisters, Teresa Dubler of McVeytown and Pamela Esworthy of Carlisle, Pa.; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.

A Vicky Lee Miller Memorial Fund has been established.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents and one sister.
